Well what better way to open my newest method of self-expression (for at least the next 8 weeks) than with something that cracks me up everytime I look at it. My sister sent me that stupid LOLcats website (http://icanhascheezburger.com) and I've killed a few extra hours at work laughing at it. I'm no hippie but I do like animals and I love to laugh at all the dumb stuff they get themselves into.

I've got a minimum word count on here that I have to meet every week, let's see what else I can say about me and what's happening in the world of Pete....

Right now I'm trying to make up my mind between purchasing a Remington 870 HD and a Mosberg 590 to keep around the house. From the reviews that I've been reading online, I'm leaning more towards the Mosberg purely because its very comparable in performance but significantly cheaper in price. I'm not a hardcore gun-nut but if some crackhead wants to break in to my house in the middle of the night I just wanted to have something scary in the closet, and something to toss in the truck for when I go out to the mountains. If anyone ever ends up reading this and has an opinion, lemme know.

Hmmmm, the weather is a nice and cool 60-70 degrees, blue skies, with a nice fresh breeze blowing out of the north. If there were more grass around here and I had more time I would definitely get a bunch of folks together for some football or rugby. I used to absolutely love the days like this back in Germany; I would toss some snacks and a bottle of water into my backpack and hop on my bike and ride for hours until it was too dark to see and then I'd dump my 50 pfennigs in the phone and call my dad for a pickup, ah those where the days.

Anyway, I figured I'd close my first ever blog post with some exciting news. I'm getting married! Haha, I just don't know when or to whom just yet. Stay tuned, maybe in a couple of years I'll have that one figured out.
