I forgot to put this picture up here the other day, springtime in Iraq isn't all that bad. It sucks for you, John, we actually get rain here haha.
I absolutely love rain, I always have. When I was little, my parents figured out pretty early that whenever it would start raining, I would get all antsy and start bouncing off the walls until they let me outside. As I got older I used to hop on my bike or just head off to the hills and forests in the rain and wander. I was quite content to just get lost and find someplace to build a little lean-to and spend the night, I miss those days.
Even though I've been gone from Germany or anyplace like it for years, rain brings back a thousand happy memories from the only place that I've ever really called home. The first time I ever kissed a girl was in the rain, my most amazing bike wreck was in a rainy, muddy forest, and the most exciting football games I ever played in were all in the rain. I guess what I'm saying is that I'm not a desert guy at all haha.
I loved every word of this blog. I feel the EXACT same way and people think I'm crazy when I express it because I sound like a depressed person. lol. I miss the rain in Germany so much. Utah gets rain but NOTHING like the typhoons in Okinawa, Rain in Germany and hurricane season in NC. Ahhh, I miss it. Enjoy it for me!!!

Yeah for sure. Sounds like a blast. Are you actually in the military or do you just work over there for something else? When do you get to come home for good?
